track and clean up chemicals in the environment, or restore degraded
streams. This concentration provides students with the knowledge and
skills they need to work in such positions as Hydrologists,
Environmental Consultants, Wetland Ecologists, Waste Managers, and
Environmental Planners. | Learn about managing plant
and wildlife communities to restore wetland habitats, deal with exotic
species, or preserve and enhance biodiversity. This concentration
provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to work in
such positions as Wildlife Biologists, Nursery Managers, Fisheries
Biologists, and Naturalists.
| Learn to communicate an understanding and
appreciation of nature to the public, or how to manage parks and
wilderness areas for protection of ecoystems while enhancing human
experience of nature. This concentration provides students with the
knowledge and skills they need to work in such positions as Naturalists,
Park Rangers, Park Superintendents, Environmental Educators, and
Recreational Guides.
